As is well known, the post-milking period is one of the riskiest moments with regards to udder hygiene. The bacteria present in the environment surrounding the stalls are in fact the main cause of infection,often leading to the development of mastitis. For this reason it is good practice to try, as much as possible, to prevent the problem byusing specific post-dipping products which can guarantee protection of the teats, above all in the period between one milking and the next. Allegrini Zootechnics proposes IODO SPRAY LQ, a ready-to-use liquid disinfecting solution for udder hygiene for milk animals. Its formula disinfects the teats, eliminating the bacterial load which is the main cause of infection. Its active ingredient, made up of elementary iodine associated with surfactants which increase the solubility of iodine in water, eliminates the corrosive and irritative properties of free iodine. It also contains active ingredients which soften the udder and prevent the formation of reddening and chapping. This product, specifically for spray application or automatic milking systems, is ideal all year round.Before proceeding with a successive milking,carefully wash the teats with drinking water and dry with disposable paper towels. It is recommended to alternate the active ingredients in any case during lactation.
WITH SPRAY APPLICATOR: Wet the teats with the neat product immediately after milking, using the specific spray system. Leave to dry. IN AUTOMATIC MILKING SYSTEMS: Consult the users’ manual for the machine. It is also possible to apply the product with a post-dipping cup.
